Day 2 Of The Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s 2020 NTC

It’s day two of the 2020 Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s National Team Championship, and the teams are up bright and early getting ready to take off for their second day of competition. First we have a chance to check in with our current leaders, Nicholas Kotowski and Zachariah Workman and get some insight into their gameplan for the day, which according to Nicholas, includes, “Snap jigging around small isolated rock piles, concentrated areas, break lines, and shallow waters between six to ten feet of water.” Out on the water with our first place team we see a common theme throughout the tournament. Lots of fish catches, with a few walleye sprinkled in between. This isn’t a bad sign though, as Lake Winnebago doesn’t have a size limit, just a three fish limit, and all of the non-legal walleyes as well as large variety of other species of fish that we do see, say great things for the health and future of this great fishery. Before the day is over, we have a chance to hop on over to our current second place team’s boat with Ben Spriks and Jaimee Tourangeau. While on their boat, we see them go on an absolute tear and reel in three solid keepers, guaranteeing them a spot in the coveted 25 All American. Back at the scales, we see some pretty drastic leader board changes taking us into the final day of the tournament. Day one leaders Nicholas Kotowski and Zachariah Workman drop from first place to third, Robert Claus and Jason Noworatzky jump up from seventh place into second, and Jasen Schine and Bradley Mikeska jump all the way up from sixteenth place into first place! This is anyones game!
